How the custom builder works

This builder lets you put together your own aquarium adapter, spray bar, media basket, or gear mount. Pick your sizes and options one step at a time, and the tool shows you a diagram and a price for the exact part as you go.

Every choice you can pick here already passed our print check, so you cannot land on a size we cannot make. We built this tool because tanks, filters, and hoses come in more sizes than any one shop can stock on its own. When your exact pair is not one we keep on the shelf, the builder prices it as a made to order part and you can add it to your cart right there. We print yours after you order it.

How to use it

  1. 1Pick a builder tab (Adapter, Spray bar, Media basket, or Gear mount) and start with the first step, usually your inlet size or a measurement off your own gear.
  2. 2Answer each step after that: outlet, bend, and options. Only sizes that already passed our print check are shown, so every path through the steps ends on a part we can actually make.
  3. 3Check the price and diagram on the right, then add it to your cart. A part we already stock links straight to its product page instead, where you can buy it the same way.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes can the builder make?+

The hose, PVC, and filter sizes in the lists. Pick from the lists in each step, and you cannot land on a size we do not make. If your size is not in a list, we do not make it yet.

Is a custom adapter checked before it prints?+

Yes. Every combination the builder lets you finish already passed our print check before it went on the list. The builder will not let you complete a pair that failed that check.

How is the price set?+

A part we already stock shows its real price and links straight to that product page. Any other build shows the price for that exact part, worked out from its size, and you can add it to your cart at that price. Shipping is one flat rate on top.

Can I buy a size you do not stock?+

Yes. Pick your sizes, read the price, and press Add to cart. We print yours after you order it, in the USA. Every combination the builder lets you finish already passed our print check.

What if the size I need is not on a list?+

Then it is not one we make yet. Tell us what you run on the request page and it goes on the list we use to pick what to build next.

How do I measure my hose or pipe?+

Measure the inside width of your hose with a tape measure or calipers, right at the open end. For PVC, use the size printed on the pipe itself. Our hose size guide walks through the steps with photos.
