Each trap is two printed pieces. The body is an open cup and the lid is a bell with a funnel that hangs down inside it. Put bait in the body, set the lid on, and stand the trap on the substrate. The opening at the bottom of the funnel measures 9mm or 14mm, and it ends deep inside the cup. Three open pockets on the floor take a stainless nut or a clean pebble to hold the trap down. The lid is a cover, not a seal.

Do aquarium snail traps work?
Yes, as a control tool. A baited trap pulls in snails overnight and lowers the number in your tank. It will not end an outbreak on its own, so cut back extra food too.
What is the best bait for a snail trap?
A slice of blanched zucchini or cucumber works well. So does a sinking algae wafer. A small piece is enough.
Should you pick the 9mm or the 14mm opening?
Match the opening to the snails you see. The 9mm opening suits bladder snails, ramshorns, and other small pests. The 14mm opening takes bigger snails. In doubt, go by the biggest pest snail in the tank.
How do you set the trap?
Drop bait in the cup. Set the lid on top. Stand the trap on the substrate before lights out. Lift it out in the morning and empty it.
Do you need to weigh the trap down?
The floor has three open pockets for weight. Drop in a stainless nut or a clean pebble. That keeps the trap steady while snails climb on it.
