Baited Snail Trap, Standard, 9mm Opening, Twist Lid, 2 Piece

This is a two piece baited trap. The body is an open cup and the lid is a bell with a funnel that hangs down inside it. Put bait in the body, set the lid on top, and stand the trap on the substrate. An animal walks up the outside of the cup, over the lid rim, down the funnel wall, and through the opening at the bottom of the funnel. That opening measures 9mm across, and it ends deep inside the cup, well away from every wall. The slots in the cup wall measure 2.2mm. The cup is 78mm across and 82mm tall. The lid is a cover, not a seal. Three lugs catch with a quarter turn. It does not lock and it is not watertight. Three open pockets stand on the floor of the cup for weight. Drop in a stainless nut or a clean pebble so the trap stays down. Each pocket is 12mm across and 13mm deep. Nothing is printed as a weight and no weight is included. The pockets are open at the top, so whatever you put in falls out when you turn the trap over. That is what you want when you empty it over a bucket. A blunt post in the middle holds the bait. Any sinking food works. Use what you already have. This is a new design. We print in PETG. Aquarium keepers have used it submerged for years. Rinse before use.
