Eheim 25/34mm to 1 Inch PVC Barb Adapter, 45 Degree
Works with Eheim Classic 1500XL.
This adapter connects 25/34mm hose (Eheim Classic 1500XL suction side) to 1 inch PVC pipe (Schedule 40). The pipe end is a plain spigot that slips into a standard PVC fitting. We ship it dry, with no glue, so you can take it apart later. Push the spigot all the way into the fitting. Add PVC cement yourself if you want a permanent joint. It has a 45 degree bend built in, for tight spots where a straight adapter cannot clear a wall, a stand shelf, or a corner behind the tank. We print in PETG. Aquarium keepers have used it submerged for years. Rinse before use.

- What is in the box
- One printed piece. There is nothing to put together.
- How it goes on
- Look at both ends first. Each end is cut for the size named in the fitment table on this page.
- Push each end on by hand until it seats.
- Fully seat the hose on the barb. Use an appropriately sized hose clamp where your installation calls for one.
- Some sizes have a PVC end. That end is a plain spigot that slips into a standard PVC fitting. We ship it dry, with no glue, so you can take it apart later. Add PVC cement yourself if you want a joint that stays.
- Check it the first time
- Rinse the part in clean water before it goes in your tank.
- After startup, inspect each connection for leaks.
- Cleaning
- Pull it off and rinse it in clean water when you clean the rest of your hose line.
- Taking it off
- Twist it and pull it off by hand. Nothing is glued, unless you added PVC cement yourself.

Common questions
How do I know which adapter size to order?
Pick by your filter model. Our hose guide lists every model's size, and the adapter matches that size. Adapters key on the hose size, not the brand name on the filter.
Do I need glue to install an adapter?
No. Every adapter is a push on fit for the hose or pipe size it lists. You do not need glue.
What if I need a bend instead of a straight run?
Some of our adapters are cut at a 45 degree angle for a gentle bend. For a full 90 degree turn, see our elbow adapters instead.
Can one adapter step down from a bigger hose to a smaller one?
Yes. Many of our adapters connect two different sizes, with one hose or pipe size on each end. Both sizes are listed on the product page.
