Surface Skimmer for AquaClear
This surface skimmer fits the AquaClear filter intake. It sits at the water line, and the toothed top rim works as a weir, so the film and scum on top of your water pour in and drop down the center to your filter. That keeps the surface clear, so more air reaches the water. It slides down over your intake tube. This is a plain skimmer box, with no valve and no pre-filter chamber built in. We print in PETG. Aquarium keepers have used it submerged for years. Rinse before use.

It is made for the intake tube of the hang on back filter named on its product page. Match your filter model there.
Where does the skimmer sit on my tank?
It sits right at the water line, on your filter's intake. That position lets it pull the surface film into the filter.
Do I need to buy anything else to run the skimmer?
No extra parts are needed. It is a plain box that attaches to your filter intake on its own.
Will the skimmer fit a canister filter instead of a hang on back filter?
No. It is built for a hang on back filter intake specifically. For a canister setup, check our other intake parts instead.
