Powerhead Guard for EcoTech Vortech MP60
This cage fits the EcoTech Vortech MP60 pump. It slips over the round pump body and adds a slotted wall, so a fish, a snail, or an anemone cannot reach the moving parts. The slots are 5mm wide. Push it on by hand for a snug hold. We do not glue it, so you can pull it off to clean it. Watch your tank after you install it. We print in PETG. Aquarium keepers have used it submerged for years. Rinse before use.

Does the guard come off for pump cleaning?
Yes. It slips over the round pump body by hand, so you can pull it off to clean the pump and put it back the same way.

Each guard is made for the pumps named on its page. Send us your pump model through Request a Part and it goes on the list for the next one we add.
Do I still need to watch my tank with a guard installed?
Yes. Keep an eye on your livestock as usual.
