About the Fluval FX6

Fluval sells the FX6 as item A219. It is the biggest filter in the FX line, above the FX4 and the FX2, and Fluval builds it in Italy.
The FX6 runs what Fluval calls a Smart Pump. Plug it in and the pump fills the canister for one minute, stops for two minutes to push trapped air out, then starts again. Fluval repeats that air purge every twelve hours.
Media sits in stackable baskets inside the canister. A utility valve and drain hose at the base let you flush the canister where it stands.
