Fry Saver Box, Standard, 1.5mm Slots, Rim Hang
This is an open top box that holds small fish apart from the rest of the tank. It prints as one piece, so there is nothing to put together. The left wall, the right wall, the front wall, and the floor are all cut with slots, so water moves through the box. The back wall is solid, because it faces the glass. The slots measure 1.5mm. Inside, the box measures 120mm wide, 80mm front to back, and 100mm tall. A channel on the back drops over your tank wall. It opens to about 10.8mm, and a nylon thumb screw takes up the slack on a thinner wall. Turn the thumb screw down until the box sits firm on the glass. Nylon will not scratch glass. The thumb screw is not included. Watch your tank after you install it. We print in PETG. Aquarium keepers have used it submerged for years. Rinse before use.

We print every part in PETG. It is the material aquarium keepers have used submerged for years. Rinse each part in clean water before you add it to your tank.
Common questions
Should I pick the 1.5mm slot or the 3mm slot?
Slot width is our own choice, not a tested number. The 1.5mm slot is the narrower option for the smallest fry. The 3mm slot moves more water through the box. Read both sizes and pick what suits the fish you keep.
Should I get the rim hang version or the suction version?
Pick the rim hang version to drop it over the tank wall. Pick the suction version if you want to use your own suction cups instead.
Why is one wall solid while the others are slotted?
The back wall stays solid against the glass. The other three walls and the floor are cut with slots, so water moves through the box.
Does water move through the box on its own?
Yes. The slotted walls and floor let tank water pass through without any extra pump. Water movement comes from the slots, not from an add on part.
