Coral Frag Rack, Nano 6 Hole, Rim Hook

This is a flat plate with 6 holes in it. Each hole takes the stem of a coral frag plug, so the plug stands up on the plate. The holes measure 10.125mm across and they run all the way through, so the length of the stem does not matter. Holes sit 38.1mm apart, center to center, and the plate is laid out for plug tops up to 25.4mm across, about 1 inch. Between the plug holes are smaller open holes. They cut the weight of the plate and let water move through it. There is no standard size for a frag plug stem. That is worth knowing before you buy any rack, and most racks quietly skip it. Brands publish 9.0mm, 9.525mm (3/8 inch), 10.0mm, and 11.113mm (7/16 inch) stems, and one brand sells two of those sizes in its own store. One plug on the market is square, not round, and no round hole suits it. This rack is cut for the 9.525mm (3/8 inch) stem, the one the most brands publish, plus a little room around it. That room is our own number, not a number anyone publishes. We have not had a real plug in a printed hole yet, so measure your plugs first and treat the hole size as what it is, a measurement of our part. This one hangs on the rim. A clip straddles your tank wall. It opens to a wall up to about 12mm thick, and a nylon thumb screw takes up the slack on anything thinner. That is an adjustable range, not a fit for any one tank, so measure your own wall first. Nylon will not scratch glass. The thumb screw is not included. The plate hangs below the rim and leans back a little, so the plug tops face up. We print in PETG. Aquarium keepers have used it submerged for years. Rinse before use.
